What happened to Funeral Funds of America?

I started Funeral Funds of America in 2015 to help families pay for burial, cremation and funeral costs. The website was funeralfunds.com.

In 2025, I rebranded the business as Final Expense Guy. It was a name change. The business wasn't sold, and it didn't close.

Why the new name? More and more people were coming to me for help with more than funeral costs, like protecting their family if they lose a paycheck or pass away early. The Funeral Funds name only described part of that work.

Is this the same business I worked with before?

Yes. I'm Randy VanderVaate, and I'm still the person you deal with. If you worked with Funeral Funds of America in the past, you're working with the same person today.

Final Expense Guy is a DBA of Saturn Street, LLC. The website is now fexguy.com.

What I do today

I'm an independent life insurance broker, licensed in most states. Because I'm not tied to one insurance company, I can compare coverage from several companies to help you find the right fit.
